    And You Care Because … Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty was knocked out of the game with a concussion, and Texas Tech went on a roll. Down 45-20, the Red Raiders came up with four touchdown passes in just under 17 minutes, with a 40-yarder to Bradley Marquez with 1:42 to play to pull within two, but the two-point conversion attempt was stuffed. Patrick Mahomes threw for close to 600 yards for the Red Raiders with six touchdowns, including three to Marquez, but Baylor got a huge day on the ground from Shock Linwood, and Seth Russell stepped in for Petty and threw a 27-yard scoring pass to Levi Norwood for a 42-17 lead. After the two teams traded field goals, Texas Tech rallied, but came up just short. 
    What Else? Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes completed 30-of-56 passes for 598 yards and six touchdowns with a pick 
    – Baylor QB Bryce Petty completed 18-of-25 passes for 210 yards and two scores, and Seth Russell completed 8-of-17 throws for 82 yards with a touchdown, and ran seven times for 29 yards. RB Shock Linwood ran 24 times for 158 yards and two scores 
    – Texas Tech WR Jakeem Grant made five tackles for 155 yards and a score, Bradley Marquez caught six passes for 130 yards and three touchdowns, and DeAndre Washington ran 15 times for 65 yards, and caught six passes for 107 yards and a score 
    – Total yards: Texas Tech 712 – Baylor 547

    Nov. 29 West Virginia 37, at Iowa State 24 
    And You Care Because … Clint Trickett wasn’t able to go, but Skyler Howard stepped in and got the job done with three touchdown passes including two to Mario Alford from 29 and four yards out as part of a 20-pound second quarter scoring run. Iowa State had control early on two Aaron Wimberly touchdown runs and a 29-yard Tad Ecby scoring grab for a 21-7 lead, but it was all West Virginia the rest of the way. The Cyclones managed a 34-yard Cole Netten field goal in the third to pull within three, but the Mountaineers scored ten unanswered points on a 15-yard Daikiel Shorts run and a 43-yard Josh Lambert field goal. 
    What Else? West Virginia QB Skyler Howard completed 21-of-40 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns, and ran seven times for 69 yards 
    – Iowa State QB Sam B. Richardson completed 26-of-50 passes for 275 yards and two touchdowns and two picks, and ran 11 times for 43 yards 
    – West Virginia RB Rushel Shell ran 22 times for 146 yards and a score 
    – Total yards: West Virginia 570 – Iowa State 410

    Nov. 27 TCU 48, at Texas 10 
    And You Care Because … The TCU defense dominated with six takeaways including a 40-yard fumble return for a touchdown from Terrell Lathan in the first quarter, and a 33-yard pick six from Josh Carraway in the final minutes. The offense got into the act, too, with Trevone Boykin throwing two touchdown passes and running for a ten-yard score. Texas could only manage a 47-yard Nick Rose field goal in the second quarter, and pulled within 17 on a 73-yard Armanti Foreman touchdown catch early in the fourth, but the turnovers kept on coming. 
    What Else? TCU S Sam Carter made four catches with two interceptions, LB Marcus Mallet made eight tackles with a forced fumble and 3.5 tackles for loss 
    – Texas QB Tyrone Swoopes completed 20-of-34 passes for 200 yards with a touchdown and four interceptions, and ran 15 times for a team-high 61 yards 
    – TCU QB Trevone Boykin completed 20-of-34 passes for 233 yards and two scores with a pick, and ran 12 times for 50 yards and a touchdown 
    – Turnovers: Texas 6 – TCU 2

    Nov. 29 at Kansas State 51, Kansas 13 
    And You Care Because … Jake Waters was nearly perfect, throwing four touchdown passes and running for another, starting out the scoring with his one-yard run and following it up with a 44-yard Tyler Lockett scoring play. Kansas tried to stay alive with a 27-yard Nick Harwell touchdown catch, but Charles Jones ran for two touchdowns and Lockett caught a six-yard touchdown pass on the way to a 38-6 lead. Waters poured it on with a 37-yard scoring play to Curry Sexton. 
    What Else? Kansas State QB Jake Waters completed 21-of-27 passes for 294 yards and four scores, and ran five times for 21 yards and a score 
    – Total yards: Kansas State 505 – Kansas 197 
    – Kansas State WR Curry Sexton caught nine passes for 141 yards and a score, and Tyler Lockett caught nine passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns
