Nov. 28 Western Kentucky 67, Marshall 66 OT 
And You Care Because … In a wild and crazy game with over 1,400 yards of total offense and giant passing games from both quarterbacks, Marshall’s Rakeem Cato threw his seventh touchdown pass of the game with a 35-yarder to Hyleck Foster in overtime, but WKU answered with Brandon Doughty’s eighth touchdown pass, and then won it on a two-point conversion to Willie McNeal. In an insane shootout with each offense only being stopped by turnovers – Cato threw four picks and Doughty two – Marshall rallied back in the final moments with ten points on a Justin Haig field goal and a five-yard Eric Frohnapfel touchdown catch with 39 seconds to play. Tyler Higbee caught three touchdown passes for WKU, and Davonte Allen and Hyleck Foster each scored twice for Marshall. 
What Else? Western Kentucky QB Brandon Doughty completed 34-of-50 passes for 491 yards and eight touchdowns with two interceptions, and Marshall QB Rakeem Cato completed 29-of-46 passes for 417 yards and seven touchdowns with four interceptions 
– WKU RB Leon Allen ran 33 times for 237 yards and a touchdown, and caught five passes for 51 yards and a score.

Nov. 29 Old Dominion 31, at Florida Atlantic 28 
And You Care Because … Satchel Ziffer hit a 27-yard field goal with no time left on the clock answer Florida Atlantic’s game-tying score on a Jaquez Johnson 11-yard scoring run with just over five minutes to play. Neither team was up by more than one score, with Taylor Heinicke throwing three touchdown passes for ODU, and FAU getting a Lucky Whitehead punt return for a score as part of a 21-point first half. 
What Else? Old Dominion RB Ray Lawry ran 25 times for 213 yards and a score, and caught three passes for 26 yards 
– Florida Atlantic QB Jaquez Johnson completed 9-of-19 passes for 133 yards, and ran ten times for 70 yards and a score 
– Old Dominion QB Taylor Heinicke completed 32-of-50 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns with an interception

Nov. 29 at UTSA 34, North Texas 27 
And You Care Because … Brandon Armstrong ran for a 21-yard touchdown to break a 27-27 tie late in the fourth to get the win. North Texas settled for four Trevor Moore field goals in the first half, and finally got into the end zone in the second half on an Andrew McNulty 31-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Smith and a one-yard scoring run. UTSA kept pace throughout with Tucker Carter running for a score and throwing for another, and Kenny Bias caught a 39-yard touchdown catch before UNT went on a scoring run to tie it up in the fourth. It took three plays for UTSA to go 54 yards for the win. 
What Else? UTSA QB Tucker Carter completed 18-of-29 passes for 277 yards and two scores, and ran for seven yards and a touchdown 
– North Texas QB Andrew McNulty completed 24-of-42 passes for 287 yards and a score, and ran six times for 23 yards and a touchdown 
– UTSA RB David Glasco ran 15 times for 99 yards and a touchdown

Nov. 29 at Louisiana Tech 76, Rice 31 
And You Care Because … Louisiana Tech claimed the Conference USA West title with an unstoppable performance from the offense. Getting down 3-0, everything worked for the Bulldogs with Kenneth Dixon running for the first of three touchdowns and Cody Sokol throwing two of his four touchdowns – highlighted by a 72-yard Carlos Henderson scoring play – on the way to a 21-3 lead. But Rice bounced back with two Driphus Jackson touchdown passes including a 51-yarder to Zach Wright, and pulled within four on Mario Hull’s second touchdown catch, and then it was all Louisiana Tech with takeaways from the D and big plays from an O that led the way to 42 straight points with two fumble returns for scores and highlighted by two Trent Taylor touchdown catches. 
What Else? Louisiana Tech QB Cody Sokol completed 20-of-32 passes for 387 yards and four scores with a pick. Paul Turner, Trent Taylor, and Carlos Henderson each came up with over 100 receiving yards 
– Rice QB Driphus Jackson completed 25-of-40 passes for 337 yards and four scores with three picks, and Jordan Taylor caught ten passes for 136 yards and a touchdown 
– Louisiana Tech RB Kenneth Dixon ran 17 times for 137 yards and three scores

Nov. 29 at UTEP 24, Middle Tennessee 21 
And You Care Because … Jameill Showers ran for a five-yard score with just over six minutes to play to give UTEP the lead, and Middle Tennessee couldn’t answer in a key win for bowl positioning. Aaron Jones caught a 72-yard touchdown pass, and ran for a seven-yard score, as the Miners took a 17-14 lead in the third quarter, but Shan Tucker ran for two short scores in the first quarter and to give Middle Tennessee the lead, and Austin Grammer ran for a three-yard score to get ahead in the fourth before UTEP went 12 plays in 75 yards to take the lead for good. 
What Else? UTEP RB Aaron Jones ran 29 times for 147 yards and a score, and caught one pass for 72 yards and a score 
– Middle Tennessee QB Austin Grammer completed 9-of-16 passes for 99 yards with a pick, and ran 12 times for a team-high 106 yards and a score 
– Middle Tennessee RB Shane Tucker ran 20 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns, and caught three passes for a team-high 40 yards

Nov. 28 East Carolina 49, at Tulsa 32 
And You Care Because … Just when it seemed like East Carolina was in trouble after Tulsa pulled within 28-25 late in the third on a 30-yard Keyarris Garrett touchdown catch, the scoring run came with Cory Hunter and Shane Carden each running for short scores, and Brandon Williams coming up with a pick six for a 21-point second half explosion. Tulsa got a blocked punt for a score and a five-yard D’Angelo Brewer touchdown run, but Carden came up with three touchdown passes with two to Bryce Williams from 15 and 12 yards out and a 16-yarder to Jimmy Williams before pulling away late. 
What Else? Total yards: East Carolina 510 – Tulsa 388 
– East Carolina QB Shane Carden completed 28-of-41 passes for 338 yards and four touchdowns with a pick, and ran nine times for nine yards and a touchdown 
– Tulsa QB Dane Evans completed 15-of-32 passes for 199 yards and a score with two touchdowns and ran six times for 31 yards

Nov. 29 UAB 45, at Southern Miss 24 
And You Care Because … UAB became bowl eligible on a record-setting day from Jordan Howard, but it was Jamarcus Nelson who came up with the big plays on a 14-yard touchdown catch and a 99-yard kickoff return for a score. Southern Miss got a 100-yard kickoff return for a score from Michael Thomas after a Josh Magee 22-yard touchdown catch for UAB late in the first half, but the Blazers had a 28-7 lead and were never threatened. Jalen Richard caught a three-yard touchdown pass and ran for a 60-yard score for Southern Miss. 
What Else? Penalties: UAB 10-for-97 – Southern Miss 2-for-20 
– UAB RB Jordan Howard ran 35 times for a school-record 262 yards and a score
