ACC bowl projections following Week 5 of the 2015 season. A total of 10 conference teams are predicted to make the postseason.
A big win for Clemson over Notre Dame highlighted this past weekend of ACC play, and put the Tigers squarely in the College Football Playoff talk. Clemson held off the Irish, 24-22, in one of Dabo Swinney’s biggest wins during his head coaching tenure. But despite the victory, there’s a lot left on the plate for Clemson this season. The Tigers will stumble along the way, which is why they’re currently slotted to face Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl in the ACC bowl projections.
Florida State kept its playoff hopes alive as well, defeating Wake Forest, 24-16, in Winston-Salem. The Seminoles haven’t looked like a CFP contender to date, which is reflected in the current projections.
Louisville, which started the season 0-3, helped its bowl chances by defeating host NC State, 20-13, for its second win of the season.
Below are the complete ACC bowl projections following Week 5. A total of 10 conferences teams are predicted to make the postseason as of now. Boston College, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest are on the outside looking in.
