The combination of a killer offense and a Conference USA championship made this an elite season for the Hilltoppers. The O scored 35 points or more in every game except the two against the SEC teams – Vanderbilt and LSU – with a defining win over Louisiana Tech early on and a dominant performance against Marshall at the end of the regular season. Beating Southern Miss to win the C-USA title and getting by USF in the Miami Beach Bowl took a great season and made it special.
