Marcus Murphy is a much sought after athlete in the 2018 signing class; a player that has played quarterback in high school but will most likely make the change to either wide receiver or safety in college.

Only five teams are still in the running for the West Point, Miss. native, including the home state Mississippi State Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels, as Murphy released his choices on Twitter.

“First and foremost I want to thank God for the many blessings in which I have received. I wouldn’t be in such a great position without the man above. After talking with my parents & a few coaches about my decision, I would like to say these are the schools I will be taking a closer look into. Let the journey begin.”

Joining the Bulldogs and Rebels on the list are the Louisville Cardinals, Tennessee Volunteers, and Michigan Wolverines.

Murphy, a four-star prospect, has great football instincts that will let him adjust to another position at the next level, including anticipation and body control that pops out to the naked eye. His competitiveness is top notch, and he has shown a knack for being a leader both on and off the field.
