AAC Bowl Projections

With Houston beating Temple in the inaugural American Athletic Conference championship game, the league is a mortal lock to get a team into a New Year’s Six game. There are just enough teams to fill out all the official AAC bowl slots, with the league able to come up with some terrific matchups involving the higher-profile teams.

Navy is an obvious fit for the Military Bowl against an ACC team, but the more interesting pairings should involve Temple and Memphis, two of the stars this year. In some way, these two should end up playing top teams from Conference USA in the St. Petersburg and one of the MAC’s elite in the Boca Raton.
