ACC football picks and spreads for Week 6 of the 2015 college football season. The annual Sunshine State rivalry between the Florida State Seminoles and Miami Hurricanes highlight this week’s schedule of games. The Seminoles are looking to get back to the College Football Playoff for the second year in a row, but the Hurricanes are hungry to snap a five-game losing streak to FSU. Week 6 ACC Football Picks And Spreads

Virginia Tech vs. NC State

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 8:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Lane Stadium

The Wolfpack boast a solid backfield with QB Jacoby Brissett and RB Matt Dayes, and will try to quiet the raucous Hokie crowd. Virginia Tech has been struggling on offense, gaining only 100 total yards against Pittsburgh last game. Both teams need a win after losing in ACC play last weekend. The Hokies will ride the home crowd to squeak out a win.

Duke vs. Army

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 12:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Michie Stadium

Duke’s defense has been solid this season, giving up only 10 points per game. Army’s defense hasn’t been too shabby either, and will face a Duke offense that hasn’t done much against quality teams this year. The Blue Devils will stifle Army’s offense late for a 10-point win.

Pittsburgh vs. Virginia

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 12:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Heinz Field

The Panthers are starting to pick up their play in coach Pat Narduzzi’s first year as head man in Pittsburgh, starting the season 3-1 with their only loss being to No. 22 Iowa. The Pitt defense has been solid, and will look to shut down a Virginia team that, since barely losing to Notre Dame, has not been consistent. Same story for the ‘Hoos on Saturday as the Panthers get it done at home.

Boston College vs. Wake Forest

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 2:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Alumni Stadium

Neither Wake Forest nor Boston College have found their offenses this year. They both rank in the bottom half of total offense rankings, with the Demon Deacons checking in at No. 55 and the Eagles way down the list at No. 113. First one to 20 points wins, and that’ll be BC behind the home crowd.

Clemson vs. Georgia Tech

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Memorial Stadium

After Clemson’s emotional win last weekend over Notre Dame, this game has upset written all over it. But Georgia Tech just isn’t good enough or healthy enough to get the job done. The Tigers win by two scores. 

Pick: Clemson

Syracuse vs. South Florida

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Raymond James Stadium

Syracuse is coming off a bye week, while South Florida is coming off three straight losses. These teams are very similar, but the Orange are slightly better. Syracuse escapes Tampa with a close win.

Florida State vs. Miami (FL)

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 8:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Doak Campbell Stadium

When it comes to rivalries, it just doesn’t get better than this big boy battle in the state of Florida. Both teams always come to play. Brad Kaaya will outperform Everett Golson, but the Seminoles will ride the home momentum and find a way to get it done to stay perfect.
