The ACC football schedule for Week 8 kicks off at noon on Saturday with a big game in Miami as the Hurricanes host the No. 6 Clemson Tigers. The Tigers are 6-0 and right in the mix of College Football Playoff picture, while Al Golden and the Hurricanes could benefit greatly from an upset over a top 10 team.
Also at noon, No. 25 Pittsburgh will try string its fourth straight win together when the Panthers travel to the Carrier Dome to take on Syracuse. The Panthers are 5-1 in coach Pat Narduzzi’s first season in the Steel City, with the only loss coming to undefeated Iowa.
At 3:30 p.m. ET, newly-ranked No. 23 Duke will look to run its record to 6-1 when the Blue Devils visit always-intimidating Lane Stadium to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies. The Hokies have been disappointed so far this season, starting off 3-4, including a 30-20 loss at Miami last week.
At night, No. 9 Florida State will try to remain perfect when the Seminoles take on Georgia Tech in Atlanta. FSU RB Dalvin Cook is questionable for the game with a left hamstring injury. The Yellow Jackets, once perceived to be contenders for the ACC title, have dropped five straight games, including a 31-28 loss against Pitt last week.
