1. It wasn’t the best of efforts for Alabama, but it was an easy win as Jake Coker found Robert Foster for a 19-yard touchdown in the first, and Derrick Henry ran for two of his three touchdowns in the second. A blocked punt for a touchdown made it 23-3 at the half.
2. Cooper Bateman stepped in and fired a 14-yard touchdown pass to Kenyan Drake, and Henry ran for a 28-yard touchdown on the way to a 37-3 lead.
3. Middle Tennessee finally got into the end zone late on a 15-yard Rod Ducksworth catch
– Derrick Henry ran 18 times for 96 yards and three scores
– Jake Coker completed 15-of-26 passes for 214 yards and a score with a pick. Cooper Bateman completed 11-of-17 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown with an interception
– Alabama struggled on third downs, converting just 4-of-13 chances
– Brent Stockstill completed 22-of-42 passes for 174 yards with an interception, and led the team with 29 yards on five carries
– Richie James caught ten passes for 95 yards
– Blue Raiders turned it over four times and committed eight penalties
