The American Athletic Conference faces some stiff out-of-conference competition in Week 3 of the college football season, starting at noon on Saturday as Connecticut travels to No. 22 Missouri and Tulsa takes on in-state opponent No. 16 Oklahoma.

At 3:30 p.m. ET, the Cincinnati Bearcats will travel just down the road to Oxford to take on the Miami RedHawks in a Buckeye State showdown. At the same time, East Carolina will take on the triple-option attack of Navy in Annapolis.

In the evening, SMU will try to stop the explosive No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs in Fort Worth.
