    Why You Need To Care

It’s been a rough, long, strange year for Auburn with no chance to come up with any sort of a groove. Losers of three of their last four – with the four overtime loss to Arkansas and the tough defeats against Ole Miss and Georgia – the Tigers could use a breezy, easy win before getting on to the task at hand and preparing for Alabama.

Jacksonville State was supposed to be that breezy, easy win for Auburn, and that turned out to be anything but that. Idaho has lost three straight, and the program still doesn’t have any sort of a defense, but it’s been a far more competitive season, even with the losses.

    Why Idaho Will Win

The D won’t have any prayer, so it’s all about whether or not the passing game can crank things up to a whole other level. It’s an efficient and effective attack with two touchdown passes or more in each of the last four games, and with three, 300-yard performances during the run, and now the Vandals have to push, push, push. The Auburn secondary hasn’t been tested too much over the last few games, but Ole Miss came up with 402 yards in the win.

    Why Auburn Will Win

Okay, Auburn, if you were EVER going to party like it’s 2013, this would be the game. Idaho hasn’t even been close to stopping anyone’s ground game over the last three weeks, allowing 1,002 yards and ten touchdowns on the ground over the last three games. On the year, the Vandal defensive front has given up 200 yards or more in every game except wins over Troy and ULM – they tried throwing it. Auburn backfield, it’s time to have fun.

    Player Who Matters

It’s all about whether or not Idaho sophomore QB Matt Linehan can bomb away. He’s coming up with a huge finishing kick to the season even though he’s without his top target, Dezmon Epps. He cut down on his interceptions from last year, and the first month of the season, and he’s spreading the ball around well. While he’ll give Auburn the ball a few times, if he’s throwing for close to 300 yards, there might be a big, big problem.

    What’s Going To Happen?

Auburn will run for 400 yards just because it really, really wants to. It’s going to start the offense rolling early, and it’s not going to stop until the team gets its cathartic blowout win moment.
