1. Baylor had to fight to put Lamar away, but got four Seth Russell to Corey Coleman touchdown passes to get it done. However, Lamar made it 21-21 in the second quarter on a one-yard Joe Minden run – Baylor had to work.

2. The Bears pulled away on 21 straight points with a 61-yard Coleman catch, a 34-yarder, and a 13-yard Shock Linwood run.

3. Baylor rolled in the fourth with Johnny Jefferson running for a 46-yard score and Jarrett Stidham taking off for a 13-yard touchdown.
