Week 12 Big 12 Picks
West Virginia vs. Kansas
Date: Saturday, November 21
Kickoff: 12:00 p.m. ET
Venue: Memorial Stadium
The Jayhawks didn’t get their first win, but they did look competitive in last week’s loss to TCU. The Mountaineers offense will face a Kansas defense that gives up a whopping 578 yards per game. Unfortunately for the Jayhawks, that spells trouble. West Virginia and it won’t even be close.
Pick: West Virginia
Spread: West Virginia -28

Iowa State vs. Kansas State
Date: Saturday, November 21
Kickoff: 12:00 p.m. ET
Venue: Bill Snyder Family Stadium
The Cyclones run defense has been getting gashed, and that will be a problem if Wildcats RB Joe Hubener finds a groove. To stop Kansas State, you only have to stop the run, as the passing game has not been productive. Iowa State might be 3-7, but the Cyclones played Oklahoma State tough last week before falling 35-31. It’s going to be a close one, with the Wildcats doing enough in the fourth quarter to get the job done.
Pick: Kansas State
Spread: Kansas State -6

Oklahoma State vs. Baylor
Date: Saturday, November 21
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET
Venue: Boone Pickens Stadium
Expect a lot of offense and points in this showdown between the undefeated Cowboys and 8-1 Bears. Since Baylor’s starting QB Seth Russell went down with a neck injury, freshman Jarrett Stidham has filled in nicely. This one will come down to who has the ball last, and that will be Baylor.
Pick: Baylor
Spread: Pick Em

Oklahoma vs. TCU
Date: Saturday, November 21
Kickoff: 8:00 p.m. ET
Venue: Memorial Stadium
The Horned Frogs are already missing their best wide receiver in Josh Doctson, and now QB Trevone Boykin got knocked out of last week’s game against Kansas with an ankle injury. Boykin is a “maybe” for the game. No matter what, TCU won’t be able to make enough stops against Baker Mayfield and the Sooners offense.
Pick: Oklahoma
Spread: No Line
