Week 6 Big 12 Football Picks And Spreads

Baylor vs. Kansas

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 12:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Memorial Stadium

Baylor’s explosive offense is licking its chops at the thought of facing a porous Kansas defense, ranked No. 122 in the nation. The winless Jayhawks won’t be able to keep up with the Bears. This one’s over by halftime. 

Pick: Baylor

Oklahoma vs. Texas

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 12:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Cotton Bowl

Two rivals are on opposite ends of the spectrum. The Sooners are rolling with an undefeated record, while the Longhorns are struggling mightily. Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield has been a major weapon for Bob Stoops’ offense, and will have another big performance against a Texas secondary that ranks No. 119 in the nation.

Texas Tech vs. Iowa State

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 3:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Jones AT&T Stadium

This is going to be a good one in Lubbock. Both offenses will find the scoreboard, a lot, but the Red Raiders, behind the home crowd, will find pay dirt more often. 

Pick: Texas Tech

Spread: Texas Tech -12.5

Oklahoma State vs. West Virginia

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 7:00 p.m. ET

Venue: Milan Puskar Stadium

Two powerful, top 25 offenses meet in Morgantown as the Cowboys try to stay unbeaten when they visit the Mountaineers. WVU QB Skyler Howard and a strong receiving corps will test the Oklahoma State secondary, while the Mountaineers ground attack is just as potent. A high scoring game in Morgantown will end in the home team’s favor.

Spread: West Virginia -7

TCU vs. Kansas State

Date: Saturday, October 10

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET

Venue: Bill Snyder Family Stadium

The Horned Frogs offense, led by QB Trevone Boykin, is as explosive as they come, averaging 50.8 points per game so far this season. The Kansas State defense will have a tough time containing TCU, as the Wildcats have given up 69 points in the past two games. Despite a raucous home crowd and a push from the Wildcats, TCU will find a way to get it done again.
