Big 12 football rankings entering Week 3 of the 2016 season. The TCU Horned Frogs fall from the top spot after falling to the Arkansas Razorbacks.

What. A. Game. TCU looked like it had it won, then Arkansas blocked a last-second field goal in regulation. The Razorbacks countered the Horned Frogs’ field goal in double overtime with a touchdown and pulled out the road win, forcing us to pick a new No. 1 in the Big 12.

That would be Texas, which becomes our projected Big 12 champion and College Football Playoff representative. Oh, and poor Oklahoma State. What an awful way to lose.

Here’s a look at where we see the rest of the Big 12 heading into Week 3.

10. Iowa State

The battle for the CyHawk trophy wasn’t nearly as close as it’s been in recent years.

9. Kansas

From the highs of beating an FCS team to the lows of losing at home to Ohio, a MAC school.

8. Texas Tech

Man, what a shootout that was with Arizona State.

7. West Virginia

Finally pulled away after being tied with Youngstown State at the half.

6. Kansas State

Had a bye week before hosting FAU next week.

5. Oklahoma State

Sure, Central Michigan’s dramatic touchdown on an untimed down shouldn’t have counted. But the Cowboys shouldn’t have been in that position in the first place and have plenty of work to do moving forward.

4. Oklahoma

The Sooners didn’t stew over their loss to Houston and crushed Louisiana-Monroe.

3. TCU

TCU’s hopes of reaching the College Football Playoff might have been completely damaged with the home loss to Arkansas.

2. Baylor

First half against SMU? Not so impressive. Second half? Much better.

1. Texas

Dismantled UTEP after that thrilling win over Notre Dame and is now the team to beat in the Big 12.
