Wisconsin picked up its second win in a row following its two-game skid (losses to Michigan and Ohio State), as Dare Ogunbowale scored on an 11-yard run in overtime and the defense notched a clutch stop to help the Badgers beat Nebraska 23-17 and hand the Cornhuskers their first loss of the season.

Paul Chryst’s team should be ranked fairly high in Tuesday night’s first edition of the College Football Playoff rankings, because the Badgers’ two losses were to teams that figure to rank high as well. The setbacks were close, and Wisconsin is coming off of a win over an undefeated squad—so its resume is solid.
