Urban Meyer’s Buckeyes were tasked with taking on D.J. Durkin’s Terrapins on Saturday, and it turned out to be anything but a tall task. Ohio State took care of Maryland easily, 62-3.

Penn State was certainly taken to the limit in its matchup with Indiana, but the Hoosiers couldn’t pull it off. The Nittany Lions came away with a big 45-31 win.

With another weekend in the books, here’s a look at how the Big Ten stacks up heading into Week 12 of the season.

Week 12 Big Ten Football Rankings

    14. Rutgers (Last Week – 14)

The Scarlet Knights are still winless in conference matchups after their loss to Michigan State. Chris Ash’s team fell to 2-7 overall this season.

    13. Michigan State (11)

The Spartans finally found a winning brand of football when they took on Rutgers. Michigan State came away with a 49-0 win.

    12. Purdue (12)

The Boilermakers were smacked in the mouth by Northwestern on Saturday. The Wildcats beat Purdue, 45-17.

    11. Illinois (13)

The Fighting Illini were no match for Wisconsin. The Badgers took down Illinois, 48-3.

    10. Maryland (10)

The Terps continued to go through some growing pains in their blowout loss to Ohio State. Maryland rushed for just 43 yards against the Buckeyes.

    9. Northwestern (9)

The Wildcats easily took care of Purdue, 45-17. Pat Fitzgerald’s team scored 31 points in the second half to come out on top.

    8. Indiana (8)

Devine Redding ran his way to 108 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries, but the Hoosiers still fell to Penn State, 45-31.

    7. Iowa (7)

Give credit to the Hawkeyes. C.J. Beathard came up big on 3rd-and-7 and picked up a first down by taking off right through the middle. He set up a 33-yard field goal for Keith Duncan, who nailed it as time expired to give Iowa the win over Michigan, 14-13.

    6. Minnesota (6)

The Golden Gophers certainly made it interesting against Nebraska. But Minnesota couldn’t pull it out in its 24-17 loss to the Cornhuskers.

    5. Nebraska (5)

Tommy Armstrong Jr. did it all for the Cornhuskers in their win over Minnesota. He connected on 19-of-27 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns. But the Nebraska quarterback also ran for 61 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.

    4. Penn State (4)

Saquon Barkley was the story once again. He rushed for two touchdowns despite being held to only 58 yards on 33 carries.

    3. Wisconsin (3)

The Badgers wrecked Illinois behind Corey Clement’s 123 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries. Dare Ogunbowale added 103 yards on seven carries.

    2. Ohio State (2)

J.T. Barrett put together yet another big game by throwing for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Curtis Samuel and Barrett each ran for two touchdowns apiece as well.

    1. Michigan (1)

It took every bit of energy, every ounce of fight Iowa had, and the Hawkeyes took down Michigan on a game-winning field goal. The Wolverines scored only three points in the second half, and Wilton Speight completed only 11-of-26 passes for 103 yards and a late interception.
