    And You Care Because … Brad Craddock hit a 43-yard field goal with 51 seconds to play as Maryland stormed back in the fourth quarter for the win. Penn State scored 13 straight points for a 16-7 lead going into the final frame, with two of Sam Ficken’s four field goals on the day and an eight-yard Jesse James touchdown catch, but Maryland put the clamps down in the fourth while getting a one-yard Wes Brown touchdown run to take the lead, and answered Ficken’s 48-yard field goal with the game-winner from Craddock.

    – Maryland rushing: 31 carries for 33 yards and a score – Penn State rushing: 41 carries for 42 yards

    And You Care Because … With Ameer Abdullah out with a knee injury that reportedly wasn’t serious, Imani Cross took over the ground game with two short scoring runs to go along with a 29-yard Tommy Armstrong Jr. scoring dash and a 17-yard pass to De’Mornay Pierson-El on the way to a 28-7 lead. Purdue tied it at seven on a 25-yard Austin Appleby run, and made it interesting in the fourth on a 23-yard Cameron Posey catch, but the Huskers turned a turnover into a seven-yard Terrell Newby run to put it away. 
    What Else? Nebraska RB Imani Cross ran 20 times for 66 yards and two touchdowns
    – Purdue QB Austin Appleby completed 18-of-46 passes for 216 yards and a score with two interceptions, and ran seven times for 23 yards and a touchdown
    – Nebraska QB Tommy Armstrong Jr. completed 8-of-21 passes for 118 yards and a score with two interceptions, and ran 13 times for a team-high 70 yards and a score 
    – Third down conversions: Nebraska 4-of-14 (2-of-3 on fourth) – Purdue 2-of-16 (1-of-6 on fourth)

    Nov. 1 at Michigan 34, Indiana 10 
    And You Care Because … Michigan’s defense clamped down on the Indiana offense, while the Wolverine attack got up to a 17-0 first half lead on a 35-yard Matt Wile field goal and two Devin Gardner touchdown passes with a six-yarder to Keith Heitzman and a 12-yarder to Amara Darboh. Indiana finally got on the board with a 38-yard Griffin Oakes field goal, but Michigan kept cruising with two Drake Johnson touchdown runs and a 23-yard Wile field goal. 
    What Else? Total yards: Michigan 404 – Indiana 191 
    – Michigan QB Devin Gardner completed 22-of-29 passes for 220 yards and two touchdowns with an interception, and ran five times for 18 yards 
    – Indiana RB Tevin Coleman ran 27 times for 108 yards 
    – Michigan RB Drake Johnson ran 16 times for 122 yards and two scores

    Nov. 1 at Iowa 48, Northwestern 7 
    And You Care Because … Iowa got out fast and didn’t stop, scoring 24 first quarter points helped by two Mark Weisman touchdown runs from eight and 14 yards out, and a blocked punt for a score from Ben Niemann. Northwestern got on the board in the second quarter on a one-yard Justin Jackson run, but that would be all the fun the offense would have all day as Iowa scored 24 unanswered points including Weisman’s third TD run of the day and a 31-yard Tevaun Smith touchdown catch. 
    What Else? Total yards: Iowa 483 – Northwestern 180 
    – Iowa RB Akrum Wadley ran 15 times for 106 yards and a score, and Mark Weisman ran 20 times for 94 yards and three touchdowns
    – Northwestern QB Trevor Siemian completed 8-of-18 passes for 68 yards, and Zack Oliver completed 1-of-6 passes 
    – Iowa quarterbacks combined to completed 17-of-25 passes for 262 yards and a score

    Nov. 1 at Ohio State 55, Illinois 14 
    And You Care Because … Ohio State applied a beating, scoring the first 48 points of the game with Devin Smith catching touchdown passes from 32 and eight yards out, and Curtis Samuel going on two touchdown runs. Backup quarterback Cardale Jones found Dontre Wilson for a 27-yard touchdown in the third quarter, and everything was put on cruise control from there. Illinois got two late touchdowns, but the game was over. 
    What Else? Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett completed 15-of-24 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns, and he ran seven times for 38 yards 
    – Illinois QB Aaron Bailey completed 9-of-16 passes for 79 yards and a score, and led the team with 39 rushing yards on 16 carries
    – Turnovers: Illinois 4 – Ohio State 1 
    – Total yards: Ohio State 545 – Illinois 243

    Nov. 1 Wisconsin 37, at Rutgers 0 
    And You Care Because … The Badgers never let it get interesting in sloppy conditions as Melvin Gordon and Corey Clement each ran for two touchdowns, and Rafael Gaglianone hit field goals from 32, 27 and 46 yard out. Gordon started the scoring with a 13-yard touchdown run, and Clement came up big next with a 43-yard dash. Gordon started out the third quarter with a 51-yard touchdown run, and Clement closed things out with a 36-yard run. 
    What Else? Total yards: Wisconsin 385 – Rutgers 139 
    – Wisconsin RB Corey Clement ran 14 times for 131 yards and two scores, and Melvin Gordon ran 19 times for 128 yards and two touchdowns 
    – Rutgers QBs combined to completed 7-of-27 passes for 63 yards and a pick 
    – Wisconsin QB Joel Stave completed 7-of-16 passes for 81 yards
