    1. Boise State’s Jeremy McNichols ran for three touchdowns including a six-yarder to start things out in the first quarter, and two in the third quarter from four and 16 yards away. Kelsey Young added two touchdowns in the third from one and nine yards out.

    2. Starting quarterback Ryan Finley left the game with an ankle injury. Thomas Stuart filled in and found Holden Huff for a nine-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

    3. Idaho State was held to 298 yards of total offense, but missed a field goal and failed to score.

    Boise State

    – Boise State’s offense finally woke up after a rough first two games, and it took a game against Idaho State to do it. The ground game finished with 344 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 5.9 yards per carry with Jeremy McNichols and Cory Young each running for 69 yards, and Devan Demas took off for 65 yards including a 47-yard dash.

    – Before suffering his ankle injury, Ryan Finley completed 5-of-6 passes for 59 yards. Thomas Stuart filled in first, completing 9-of-13 passes for 69 yards and a score, to go along with 46 rushing yards. Brett Rypien – nephew of Mark Rypien – completed 8-of-9 passes for 126 yards.

    – Thomas Sperbeck led the team with seven catches for 99 yards.
