The Bowling Green Falcons will travel to Muncie, IN to take on the Ball State Cardinals on Tuesday night in the final regular season game for both teams.

The Falcons (8-3, 6-1 MAC) will represent the MAC East Division in the conference title game, but saw their seven-game winning streak come to an end last week, falling 44-28 to Toledo. Bowling Green dug itself an early 20-0 hole against Toledo that it couldn’t climb out of. Matt Johnson didn’t have his best outing for the Falcons (28-of-46, 274 yards, 3 TD, 2 INT), but broke Bowling Green’s single-season record for passing yards (4,229).

The Cardinals (3-8, 2-5 MAC) are looking to finish the season on a high note after losing their last two games and seven of their last eight. Last time out, Ball State couldn’t keep up with the Ohio Bobcats on the road, falling 48-31. The Cardinals were steamrolled by the Bobcats offense led by JD Sprague (321 total yards, 3 TD), A.J. Ouellette (22 car, 121 yards, 2 TD) and Jordan Reid (4 rec, 112 yards, 2 TD). Ball State fought off a slow start and eventually got their offense rolling in the second half. Riley Neal finished with 309 total yards and three touchdowns, while the receiving duo of KeVonn Mabon and Jordan Williams combined for 13 receptions, 217 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Bowling Green and Ball State will square off for the 31st time on Tuesday. The Falcons lead the series 20-9-1 all-time and have won six of the last seven meetings.
