1. It took three quarters, but BYU was finally able to pull away in the fourth with Tanner Magnum hitting Mitch Mathews for touchdown passes from 21 and six yards out and Trevor Samson nailed two field goals to end the fun.

2. UConn made it a 10-10 game on the first of two Bobby Puyol field goals and a 30-yard Arkeel Newsome touchdown catch. The Huskies pulled within seven on a 42-yard Puyol field goal before BYU scored ten unanswered points.

3. The Cougars started out the scoring with a one-yard Francis Bernard run, but didn’t get back into the end zone until 12 minutes left.

– Terenn Houk caught six passes for 129 yards, and Mitch Mathews caught eight passes for 78 yards and two scores.
