Under new head coach Willie Taggart, FAU looks to improve to 2-0 in their game against C-USA foe Southern Miss. Dating back to last season, the Owls are currently riding an eight-game winning streak, a trend that the Golden Eagles are hoping ends on Saturday.
After a 41-31 win over North Texas last weekend, watch for Southern Miss to feed RB Frank Gore Jr. throughout the matchup. FAU LB Leighton McCarthy, the current C-USA Defensive Player of the Week, will have his hands full trying to contain the talented back.
FAU leads the all-time series over Southern Miss 2-0 with the most recent victory coming last season in Boca Raton.
