Western Kentucky wants to get back on track this Saturday, but that’s easier said than done against a UAB program that has won 20 straight home games, which is the third-longest active home winning streak in the country.
WKU, who currently ranks in the bottom five in the nation in total offense, could be on the verge of making a QB switch to Kevaris Thomas. If he does get the start, he’ll be lining up against a Blazers defense that is only allowing 152.3 passing yards per game.
UAB hopes to play the field position game against Western Kentucky’s struggling offense and pound the rock with skilled RB Spencer Brown, someone who could soon be playing on Sundays.
The all-time series between the two schools dates back to 1993, with WKU leading 4-3.
