    MAJOR/70 WORLD SERIES SCHEDULE

Thirty Four Games Will Air On Stadium From August 2-10

CHICAGO – Stadium, the first 24/7 multi-platform sports network, today announced the full broadcast schedule for the 2019 Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series, a tournament of champions for players aged 12 and under. While hundreds of young, talented baseball teams from around the world are sharing one goal, only 28 of those teams will survive the tournament trail and advance to the Cal Ripken World Series, seeking to become World Champions.

Stadium will air thirty-four live games over nine days, including the International Championship, US Championship and World Championship on August 10. All games will air from the Ballparks of America, St. Louis Field in Branson, Missouri. Veteran broadcaster Tom Ladd will provide play-by-play with Chuck Sebastian providing commentary.

The Cal Ripken Major70 Division plays by Official Baseball Rules including lead-offs, dropped strikes, and balks. It is also played on a 70-foot base paths and larger outfield dimensions to better showcase players’ skills in a truer game of baseball. The Major70 Division was created as a transitional division between the 10 and under Minor Division (60-foot base paths) and the 13-15 Babe Ruth Baseball Division, which plays on 90-foot base paths.

Alumni of the Babe Ruth League include Mike Piazza, Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson, Frank Thomas, Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Rob Gronkowski.
