The 2017 recruiting class was wrapped up on Wednesday with National Signing Day, so Campus Insiders decided to hand out an award for the nation’s best recruiter.

It’s finally over. Most of the National Letters of Intent have been signed and faxed (or emailed) in. And we finally know where each of the college football programs stack up in the 2017 recruiting class rankings.

While the focus will now shift to spring practice, it’s only proper to recognize the coaches who worked their tails off to land these recruits at their respective universities.

And one man stood out above them all as being the best salesma— oops, I mean recruiter in the country. Here are the results for Campus Insiders’ National College Football Recruiter of the Year award.

First Place

Tosh Lupoi, Alabama LB Coach

The job that Tosh Lupoi did this past season was nothing short of remarkable. Other assistants landed more commitments, but he brought in the perfect combination of quality and quantity. Look at the names he helped lure to Tuscaloosa: 5-star outside linebacker Dylan Moses, 5-star running back Najee Harris, 5-star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, et al. It was borderline legendary. He’s the best recruiter on the most elite college football staff in the country.

Second Place

Chris Partridge, Michigan LB Coach

When Jim Harbaugh brought him on from Paramus Catholic High School, Chris Partridge accepted the job as recruiting coordinator. Then he got bumped up to linebackers coach but still continued to recruit like a mad man for the Wolverines. He got 5-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon back into the class and sprinkled in some big-time commits from 4-star linebacker Jordan Anthony, 4-star safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell, 4-star cornerback Ambry Thomas and 4-star wide receiver Oliver Martin, among others. He barely fell short of the No. 1 spot. It simply came down to 5-star commits and overall class ranking.

Third Place

Tee Martin, USC OC

USC had a better 24 hours than any other college football program on National Signing Day, and Tee Martin was the focal point of it all. He got 5-star wide receiver Joseph Lewis and 4-star athlete Greg Johnson to sign on the dotted line. Plus, he kept 4-star defensive end Hunter Echols close to home. When you factor in 5-star running back Stephen Carr, it’s not hard to see why Martin finished in the top three.
