    Sept. 5 – Clemson had no problem coming up with an easy win, but it suffered a scare when star Mike Williams crashed into the goalpost and was carted off the field – he later was up and moving – after coming up with a touchdown grab. That was the only negative for the Tigers as Deshaun Watson threw two touchdown passes with a 35-yarder to Artavis Scott along with the scoring play to Williams. Wayne Gallman and Tyshon Dye each added two short touchdown runs.

    Quick Reaction

    – This was the nice and breezy preseason-like game every team needs. It was target practice for Deshaun Watson, the running game did whatever it wanted to, and all the defensive new parts got in the live action needed. Outside of the Mike Williams scare, Clemson couldn’t have asked for a better start.

    – Deshaun Watson completed 18-of-22 passes for 194 yards and two scores. He also ran twice for 22 yards. All Clemson QB combined to go 30-of-37 for 311 yards and two touchdowns.
