Top 3 College Basketball Teams That Gain The Most Following NBA Draft Deadline

Three college basketball teams stand taller than the rest, and gained the most following the NBA Draft deadline.

3) Villanova Wildcats

The Wildcats were slated to be a top 10 team regardless of Josh Hart’s decision. With his return they become an elite, top five team.

He was the best player on the reigning national championship team. Hart was the straw that stirred the drink, the glue guy, and I expect him to assume the same role in 2017.

The Wildcats are again loaded with weapons. Mr. Clutch Kris Jenkins is back, Jalen Brunson brings continuity as a handler, Phil Booth became a star in Houston, Mikal Bridges has improved, and Eric Paschall is an impact transfer. This team is primed for a repeat run.

2) Wisconsin Badgers

Continuity is the key ingredient to success on the college level, and with Nigel Hayes returning to Madison the Badgers have some serious momentum heading into 2017. Now that Hayes has decided remain in school, Wisconsin returns its top nine scorers. NINE!

Ethan Happ had a tremendous first season as a go-to player in the post, Bronson Koenig is a scoring guard with a penchant for the big play, and Vitto Brown continues to evolve. All these pieces will allow Hayes to flourish as a versatile player that can hurt teams inside and out.

Greg Gard was arguably the best coach in the nation during the second half of the year. Imagine what he can do with a full season and all those weapons.

1) Oregon Ducks

The Ducks are the biggest winners, simply because they get quantity along with quality. Both Dillon Brooks (the team’s leading scorer) and Tyler Dorsey (at times their best player ) are returning. Four of the Ducks’ five starters are back, meaning the team’s identity will remain the same: athletic, interchangeable pieces that play at a fast pace and can light up a scoreboard.

Without Brooks and Dorsey, this team is hardly a ranked squad; with the duo Oregon is a top 10 title contender. This could be the year the Pac-12 returns a team to the Final Four for the first time since 2008.
