Leadership In Question – The Oklahoma football program has had a few run-ins with the law lately, including starting quarterback Baker Mayfield. Now, Mayfield is speaking out and stating that the players need to step up and be more responsible.

“I think people have let it slip a little bit and gotten a little lackadaisical about all the off-the-field stuff,” Mayfield said. “I think it can be said that I might have set a bad example first, but we all know there’s a higher standard here — not just being quarterbacks, but at the University of Oklahoma. There’s a tradition here at Oklahoma that compares to no other. We’ve got to realize that expectation and those standards and rise up to it and be the ones that everybody looks at in every single situation. We’ve got to be accountable and let everybody know that we have the responsibility and they can look up to us no matter what.”

Borges Back On Plains – Al Borges was the offensive coordinator for Auburn back during the Tigers magical 2004 season, when they went undefeated but got left out of the BCS National Championship Game. Now, he is back as an offensive analyst.

Borges will work under new offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey.

Not Good – Two Middle Tennessee players have been suspended while being investigated over a Snapchat video that allegedly showed them abusing a puppy.

The two players, Justin Akins and Shalom Alvarez, will perform community service while the investigation is still ongoing.
