Last night, I was watching some of the great sport of skeleton. If you are not familiar, it is where you are on a sled like in the luge, except going down head first on your stomach. After about 30 minutes in, I was convinced that it would be a sport I would excel at. Anyone know where I can find a nice luge track around the Chicagoland area? Thanks.

In college football news, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is the early favorite to take home the Heisman Trophy next season, we explain why the Florida receiving corps is now an asset for the Gators, and UCLA has landed a big-time recruit in 4-star cornerback Elijah Gates. Here are some other newsworthy notes in the latest college football news roundup.

Cal Has A New DC – The California Golden Bears will be under a new regime in 2017, with Justin Wilcox taking over as head coach. Wilcox has now gone out and hired Tim DeRuyter as his defensive coordinator.

DeRuyter was the head coach at Fresno State the past five years before being dismissed in October. Prior to the stop in Fresno, he was the defensive coordinator at Texas A&M, Air Force, Nevada, and Ohio.

Trouble In Fort Worth – Kyle Hicks led the TCU Horned Frogs in rushing this past season with 1,042 yards and 12 touchdowns, but it is now his actions off the field that are getting headlines. Hicks and two former TCU players were arrested this past weekend and charged with public intoxication.

Come Back, Johnny – Former Texas A&M quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel has been … well … a mess the last few years, so anything he does comes with no shock value anymore. Now, though, he has gone off the grid after giving advice to who else but President Donald Trump on Twitter, then quickly deleting his account.

Twitter will never be the same.
