Stanford and Rice Go Down Under – The Cardinal and Owls will travel halfway across the world to Sydney to open the 2017 season. The two teams will play on August 27 (well, it will be August 26 in The States), a week before the rest of the teams open. The game was originally supposed to be played in Houston.

Considering the reputation of the two schools’ bands, let’s all hope that Australians have a sense of humor.

Herman Doing Work – It comes as no surprise that the hiring of Tom Herman as the Texas head coach would make some of the players committed to Houston rethink their decision during the recruiting process, and it continued on Monday as 3-star offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi flipped his commitment from the Cougars to Texas.

“I am so excited and proud to say I will be a Longhorn. God is good. Hook ’em,” Cosmi said in a statement.

Wait, It Wasn’t Bama Fans? – A pair of University of Oklahoma students were arrested after they broke into LSU’s Tiger Stadium on Sunday afternoon. This is the fourth incident in January where someone has entered the stadium illegally.
