Hofstra has never won the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament Championship, but if there’s ever been a time for the Pride to lift the CAA trophy, it’s now.
Hofstra has picked up the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament going 14-4 in conference play and 22-7 overall. It’s a well-deserved honor for the Pride, who have five players averaging double figures in scoring, including standout Rokas Gustys, who averages a double-double in 30 minutes per game.
The UNC Wilmington Seahawks are right on Hofstra’s tail, though, notching the No. 2 seed in the tournament, followed by the Towson Tigers.
Given the close competition, a championship victory for Hofstra will be no easy task, but the Pride have never been so primed to win it all and advance to the Big Dance.
