Conference USA Bowl Projections
The season was fun and exciting with WKU, Marshall and Southern Miss all having big years, and with Louisiana Tech and Middle Tennessee coming up with nice runs, but it’s also going to be the year of the near miss in terms of bowls.
The league has seven bowl slots, and only five available teams with Florida International, Old Dominion, Rice and UTEP all finishing at 5-7. It would’ve been nice to get a little bit of luck and big wins late to get more teams into the post-season, but the five being sent to the bowls are all going to be dangerous.
