The time has come for the nation’s No. 37-ranked defensive tackle to narrow down his college choices, and that’s exactly what Damion Daniels did Tuesday evening.

The 6-foot-3, 301-pound prospect from Dallas tweeted out his top 12 schools with the SEC, Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12 all making appearances. Oh, and there’s one member from Conference USA included in the mix for good measure.

In alphabetical order, Daniels’ final 12 are Colorado, Florida, Iowa, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Texas, Texas-San Antonio, UCLA and USC.

Daniels released a statement on Twitter with his top schools.

“I want to say that I’m so thankful that God has blessed me so much through this whole process, and I also want to say thank you to Bishop Dunne and the coaching staff for putting me in the best position to further my education while playing the sport I love. And I also want to thank all of the great colleges that have given me the opportunity to play at their organization. My mind is far from being made up, and my choices might change. With that being said, I would like to announce my top 12 choices as of right now.”

Daniels is rated as the No. 4 defensive tackle in the Lone Star State. While he needs to improve his balance and overall technique on the line, he has the size and strength to make life tough for interior offensive linemen.

Of the teams he’s narrowed it down to, Florida was the last one to offer him on April 13.

Since then, Daniels has picked up four more scholarship offers from Texas Tech, Cal, Illinois and Air Force, in that order.
