Duke vs. Yale picks for the NCAA Tournament’s second round game.

Duke will take on Yale in an NCAA Tournament second-round game that is a rematch from the regular season. The Blue Devils and Bulldogs squared off in late November, a game in which Yale was waxed by 19 points. Can they learn from their mistakes and make a run at Duke when there are higher stakes.

Coming into this game, both Duke and Yale had to sweat. For two-thirds of their opening contest against UNC-Wilmington, Duke was contained by the press. However, after figuring out the Seahawks the Blue Devils were able to pull away (somewhat). Still, an eight-point victory over what should have been an overmatched in-state opponent doesn’t exactly breed confidence.

As for Yale, the Bulldogs proved that they weren’t simply happy to be in the building. They may have laid an uncanny amount of bricks in the waning moments against Baylor, but Handsome Dan was able to get it done.

Here’s a look at the Campus Insiders Duke vs. Yale picks.

Duke. Blue Devils got their wake up call. If the bench gives them performances like it did against UNCW, Blue Devils will advance.

Once Marshall Plumlee ditched the face mask, he had a career high 23 points. He, Ingram, and Grayson Allen each put up 20+, and the last time three players from Duke did that in the DANCE was when I was 4. I’ll let you figure out when that was. If the Blue Devils stay hot it’ll be too much for the Bulldogs to handle.

    Ken Bikoff

Yale’s stay was fun while it lasted, but Duke is too talented and too athletic to be upset by the Ivy Leaguers.

    Jordan Cornette

Yale has no answer for the duo of Allen and Ingram.
