Jake Elliott hit a 61-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Philadelphia Eagles to a 27-24 win over the New York Giants in Week 3 of the NFL season.

Elliott’s field goal was just 51 seconds after he tied the game at 24 with a 46-yard field goal. The Giants went three-and-out, which allowed the Eagles to have time for a final drive in regulation. Carson Wentz’s 19-yard pass to Alshon Jeffery set up the long game-winning field goal.

The Eagles maintained a 7-0 lead at halftime after a goal-line stand before the end of the first half. Orleans Darkwa was stopped on fourth-and-goal from the one-yard line.

The Giants started to rally in the fourth quarter when Odell Beckham Jr. hauled in a touchdown from 10 yards out. New York was back in business after a Zach Ertz fumble. A 20-yard run from Darkwa set up another Beckham Jr. touchdown from Eli Manning.

The Giants jumped out to a lead when Sterling Shepard took an Eli Manning pass 77 yards with 7:12 left in the game. The Eagles answered after a pass interface penalty set up rookie running back Corey Clement to score a 15-yard touchdown.

The Giants took a 24-21 lead with 3:08 left on an Aldrick Rosas 41-yard field goal before the Eagles hit two field goals in the final minute.

Philadelphia improved to 2-1 on the season and face the Los Angeles Chargers next week. New York moved to 0-3 and have a road test in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
