Why You Need To Care
All of a sudden, Eastern Michigan is interesting. The Eagles did what they never do – and that means ever, like, decades ever – and that’s come up with a non-conference road win, blasting Wyoming 48-29. After pushing Old Dominion in the opener, this really might be a different and better EMU team. On the other side, Ball State is trying to pick up the pieces after getting ripped apart by Texas A&M. This is the second road game for the Cardinals in a rough run of four in five weeks, while EMU has to take advantage of its home dates with this part of a run of three in the first month.

The Eagles can’t stop the run. Old Dominion and Ray Lawry ran well with the team coming up with 229 yards and four scores. Last week, Wyoming went wild for 430 yards and four touchdowns, coming up with big gain after big gain. The Ball State rushing attack has started out great with 229 yards against VMI and 240 against Texas A&M with seven scores on the year.

The big plays kept on coming, with freshman Eddie Daugherty coming up with the killer finishing with 105 yards and a score on three grabs. EMU is starting to open it up.
