    Why Florida Atlantic Will Win

The Owls are better than their record. Just ask Florida. The Gators, who’ve already won the SEC East, needed overtime to defeat Florida Atlantic this past weekend. FAU’s underrated defense, led by linemen Trey Hendrickson and Trevon Coley, held Florida to 299 yards and sacked Treon Harris five times.

    Why Old Dominion Will Win

The Monarchs are one win away from their first-ever bowl game, so motivation will not be a factor for the players or the fans in Norfolk. And yes, FAU is stingy defensively, but its offense will struggle to keep pace with an ODU team that’s produced at least 30 points in each of the last four games.

    What’s Going To Happen?

True, Old Dominion has a ton at stake on Saturday, and Florida Atlantic left a lot on the field in Gainesville. But the Monarchs are banged-up on offense, missing linchpin QB David Washington and possibly 1,000-yard rusher Ray Lawry. The Owls will build on last week’s effort, denying ODU bowl eligibility on the strength of their D.
