The Crimson Tide and Huskies will meet in the Peach Bowl, while the Tigers and Buckeyes will face off in the Fiesta Bowl. The College Football Playoff title game will pit the winners of the two semifinals against one another a week later.
The Big Ten finished with four teams in the top 10 of the College Football Playoff Rankings, which is tops for any conference in the country. Just behind the Big Ten is the Pac-12 with three, followed by the ACC, Big 12 and SEC each with one apiece.
Teams that have received New Year’s Six bowl bids are No. 5 Penn State, No. 6 Oklahoma, No. 8 Wisconsin, No. 9 USC, No. 11 Florida State, No. 14 Auburn and No. 15 Western Michigan. The matchups will be Michigan vs. FSU in the Orange Bowl, Auburn vs. Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl, USC vs. Penn State in the Rose Bowl, and Western Michigan vs. Wisconsin in the Cotton Bowl.
Alabama and Western Michigan are the nation’s only undefeated teams.
