Cole Anthony, the top uncommitted prospect in the 2019 recruiting class, made his college decision.

The 6-3, 184-pound combo guard from Oak Hill Academy will play for North Carolina next season.

Anthony, the son of former NBA player and basketball analyst Greg Anthony, is ranked as the No. 3 recruit in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.

His final four schools were North Carolina, Notre Dame, Georgetown and Oregon.

North Carolina was believed to be the frontrunner down the stretch of his recruitment with the Tar Heels receiving 93 percent of the predictions on his 247Sports Crystal Ball. He took an official visit to Chapel Hill on Sept. 28, along with official visits to Notre Dame (Sept. 14), Oregon (Oct. 19) and Georgetown (Nov. 23).

The guard also received offers from Duke, Kansas, Louisville, Miami (FL), Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, St. John’s and UCLA.

Anthony is a welcome addition for the Tar Heels, who lost their top five scorers from last season, including starting point guard Coby White and shooting guard Kenny Williams.

247Sports Director of Basketball Recruiting Evan Daniels compared Anthony to Donovan Mitchell and projects him to be a future first-round pick in the NBA Draft.
