Best Bet: Josh Jung Over 1.5 Total Bases

The Rangers’ stud rookie has had a tremendous start to the 2023 season and it will continue tonight against Ken Waldichuk. 58% of Waldichuk’s pitches are fastballs, and off fastballs this season, Jung has eight hits, including four extra-base hits. Today, Jung has the highest Matchup ISO (0.665) and Matchup wOBA (0.552), according to Batters-Box.com. Betting on Jung has been very profitable for me these past few weeks, so hopefully he continues to stay hot.

    Best Bet: Rangers-Athletics Over 4.5 Runs F5

With the aforementioned Waldichuk on the bump today for the Athletics, they will be going up against the No. 1 team in F5 runs (3.68) in Texas. It just feels right. Waldichuk has given up 29 earned runs in his first seven starts for an average of 4.14 runs.

It should not be a one-sided scoring affair, as the Athletics are 22nd in F5 runs (2.44). Every little bit helps, and Martin Perez, who just gave up seven earned runs against the Angels, will be the starter today for the Rangers. If Oakland takes advantage of Perez, I’m sure this bet goes over with ease.

Home Run Sprinkles of the Day:
    • Josh Jung
    • Nolan Arenado
    • Paul Goldschmidt

James Paxton is making his return from Tommy John surgery, and he’s thrown just 21.2 innings in the last three years. Anything could happen today, which is why I can see the two All-Stars jumping all over that.
