Jeff Driskel Sends Thank You To Florida, La Tech Ahead Of NFL Draft

Jeff Driskel sends thank you to the Florida Gators and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs ahead of the NFL Draft.

In 2011, Jeff Driskel entered college as the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback recruit in the nation. He was supposed to be the next in line to carry the prestigious tradition of the Florida quarterback position, but, despite seemingly possessing all of the tools, Driskel never found his footing with the Gators.

Some fans blame Driskel, some blame former head coach Will Muschamp and his revolving door of offensive coordinators, and others say the lack of success was a combination of both.

After four years in Gainesville, Driskel decided it was best for a fresh start and transferred to Louisiana Tech.

He put together his best season in the NCAA for the Bulldogs, throwing for 4,033 yards, 27 touchdowns and eight interceptions, all while leading Louisiana Tech to a 9-4 record, 6-2 conference mark and a bowl win over Arkansas State.

Driskel is now preparing for the NFL Draft, but before making the jump, he sent out a thank you to both Florida and Louisiana Tech for the opportunity they afforded.

Driskel is projected to be a mid-to-late round draft pick.
