Joey Bosa At NFL Combine: ‘I’m The Best Player In The Draft’

A confident Joey Bosa told reporters at the NFL Combine that he's "the best player in the draft."

If Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa is lacking anything at the NFL Combine, it certainly isn’t confidence.

The man who brought the “welp” emoji to life told reporters “I do believe I’m the best player in the draft. As a top player, if you don’t believe that, there’s something wrong.”

He has a point. The best players in the draft not only have to have the most talent, but they also have to believe they have the most talent. Football is both a physical and mental game. Confidence is key.

The upside with the Buckeyes’ star defensive end is extremely high. He earned first-team All-American honors from several outlets during his Ohio State career, was named the Big Ten’s Defensive Player of the Year, and earned the conference’s Defensive Lineman of the Year in back-to-back seasons.

Tennessee will be on the clock first, but talk is that Laremy Tunsil is the likely selection for the Titans. It’s hard to imagine Bosa sliding further than San Diego at No. 3. The Chargers are in need of a defensive end and likely won’t pass up the opportunity to select who some experts believe is the best overall player in the draft.
