    Nick Saban has his kicker.

About a week after 3-star kicker Brandon Ruiz flipped his commitment from the Crimson Tide to the Arizona State Sun Devils, 3-star kicker Joseph Bulovas flipped his commitment from Georgia Tech to Alabama, taking Ruiz’s spot in the Tide’s class.

The Mandeville, Louisiana native is ranked as the No. 4 kicker in the country. He released a statement regarding his decision to flip from the Yellow Jackets to the Crimson Tide.

“As a 7-year-old kid kicking in the backyard, I didn’t quite know where it might take me. I’d like to thank God for all the blessings he has bestowed upon me. Second, I would like to thank my family, friends, and coaches that never stopped believing in me along with Chris Sailer, who has made me the kicker that I am today. With this being said, I would like to announce that I will be playing college football on scholarship for the Crimson Tide at the University of Alabama.”

Bulovas originally committed to Georgia Tech on June 10 and is about two weeks removed from an official visit to Mississippi State. As seen on his Twitter profile, the 6-foot, 205-pound recruit can hit a field goal from 70 yards out with room to spare. He clearly has a lot of power, but his leg swing is short and compact with a smooth follow-through. You won’t see many kicks returned off him unless he’s told to keep the kickoff in play.
