Kansas vs. Baylor prediction, online live stream and TV broadcast information for Tuesday’s game.

The No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks will travel to Waco, Texas Tuesday night to take on the No. 19 Baylor Bears in hope of sweeping the season series.

The Jayhawks (23-4, 11-3 Big 12) are putting it all together at the right time, having won seven straight games. Last time out, Kansas avoided the upset from in-state rival Kansas State with a 72-63 win. The Jayhawks’ lead reached as many as 17 in the second half, but the Wildcats were able to close the gap to four with four minutes to play. Kansas State was unable to get stops down the stretch while Kansas hit key free throws and escaped with the win. Kansas turned the ball over 15 times, but its edge on the glass (33-29) and effective shooting from the field (50 percent) proved to be keys to the victory. Frank Mason III led three Jayhawks in double figures as he scored a team-high 16 points and five assists.

The Bears (20-7, 9-5 Big 12) are righting the ship, having won three of their last four games and two straight against ranked foes. One of those ranked wins was a 78-64 victory over rival Texas in Austin, Texas on Saturday. Baylor used a 12-0 run in the first half to grab an 18-point halftime lead. The Bears carried that momentum over to the second half and cruised to an easy victory. They did most of their damage in the paint as they outrebounded the Longhorns, 27-20, and dominated them in paint scoring, 50-32. Johnathan Motley led Baylor with 24 points on 12-of-13 shooting and made his first 11 field goals before missing a jump shot with 1:15 left in the game.

Tuesday’s game between Kansas and Baylor is the 30th meeting between the two programs. The Jayhawks own a commanding 25-4 lead in the all-time series and have won the last three matchups.

    Prediction

We’re in for a Big 12 showdown in Waco Tuesday. Both teams come into this one with confidence, but the Bears have something to prove on their home floor. If Baylor can show that its high-octane offense is for real and get an ill Rico Gathers back up to speed, the Bears have a chance in this one.

However, Kansas is just playing too well right now. During its seven-game winning streak, it has blown teams out, but has also shown it can win games when things go wrong, and that is very important this time of year. Look for Perry Ellis, stitches and all, to put together another strong all-around game and get the Jayhawks out of Ferrell Center with a tough win.

    Prediction: Kansas 79, Baylor 75
