Kansas vs. Maryland picks for the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 matchup between the Jayhawks and Terrapins.

As expected, the Kansas Jayhawks have advanced to the Sweet 16 in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. They’ll be met by the Maryland Terrapins in a battle of highly talented backcourts.

The Jayhawks spent a solid portion of their regular season as the No. 1 team in the land, and they shaped that into a No. 1 seed in the tourney. After taking down 16-seed Austin Peay, 105-79, Kansas knocked out UConn, 73-61, to keep its championship dreams alive.
Maryland, with the help of star guards Melo Trimble and Rasheed Sulaimon, walked into March as a No. 5 seed and picked up a first-round win over 12-seed South Dakota State, 79-74. In the second round, the Terps handled Hawaii, 73-60, to move onto the Sweet 16.
Here are the Campus Insiders Kansas vs. Maryland picks.

    Sam Falcone

I don’t think anyone can stop Kansas right now. Both tourney wins for the Jayhawks were by significant margins. Even though Maryland beat Hawaii, it wasn’t nearly as impressive as the Jayhawks’ performance thus far. Kansas wins it.

    Robert Judin

The Jayhawks’ journey will continue. Melo Trimble is a game-changing guard, someone who can take games over, but Kansas is the most complete team in the nation. Wayne Selden and Frank Mason will both find the stroke to help the Jayhawks advance.

    Glenn McGraw

Kansas has too much talent and is playing too well right now. The Terps will make it interesting behind a big outing from Melo Trimble, but Maryland is just another notch on the Jayhawks’ belt.
