The LSU Tigers and Wisconsin Badgers will open their season on Saturday at historic Lambeau Field. Campus Insiders has employed its staff to offer predictions for this game featuring the SEC and Big Ten titans.

Leonard Fournette will have a monster game – probably somewhere in the 175 yards, 3 touchdown range – and look every bit the Heisman frontrunner. Brandon Harris will have some spectacular plays, and also a few boneheaded mistakes. Corey Clement will help control the clock for the Badgers, but the absence of Dan Voltz cannot be overstated.
LSU’s ace in the hole, defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, will pitch a gem against his former team and an offense he knows all too well. The Tigers will pull away late.

Bart Houston is named after Bart Starr, the legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback who once graced the Lambeau Field turf Houston will step foot on for Wisconsin. That’s cute and all, but it won’t help – especially with former Badgers staffer Dave Aranda now running LSU’s defense.
The Tigers are bringing a horde of fans with them and invading the small Wisconsin town. Leonard Fournette is going to prove why he was last season’s early Heisman front-runner by running all over the Badgers, and LSU’s defense will put too much pressure on Houston for him to handle.
LSU – and its huge traveling fanbase – leave Green Bay with an easy victory.

I kind of feel bad for Wisconsin — not for the good ol’ southern hospitality LSU fans are bringing up from Baton Rouge, because that’s awesome — for the hurting the Tigers are going to put on the Badgers. Jamal Adams has “first-round pick” written all over him. He and Kendall Beckwith will lead the defense and stop everything Wisconsin tries to do offensively.
As far as the LSU offense goes, Leonard Fournette is going to run over, around and through the Badgers. Brandon Harris doesn’t have to do much. Fournette will get his touches, but Harris simply has to provide enough of an aerial threat to keep Wisconsin from stacking the box. Harris will find Malachi Dupre multiple times and let Fournette do the rest.

I don’t think the city of Green Bay knows what is about to hit it with LSU fans coming in droves for the season opener. They will make their presence felt at Lambeau as Leonard Fournette starts his Heisman campaign with a big game against a Wisconsin defense missing its leading tackler T.J. Edwards.
With the Badgers stacking the box, quarterback Brandon Harris will look for Malachi Dupre. For Wisconsin on offense, they will face a LSU defense led by coordinator Dave Aranda that is all too familiar with the Badgers: he was their defensive coordinator just last season.
It will be close for a while, but chants of “S-E-C!” will pour over the historic stadium as LSU pulls away in the second half.
