    Nov. 5 Northern Illinois 35, at Ball State 21 
    And You Care Because … NIU overcame a 14-14 first half tie with the second of three short touchdown runs from Cameron Stingily and a 21-yard pick six from Anthony Brooks. Ball State wouldn’t go away, marching back fast with good drive finishing with a four-yard Horactio Banks run, but NIU’s defense held on with five takeaways on the game while the O finished up with a late drive and Stingily’s final score. 
    What Else? Northern Illinois RB Cameron Stingily ran 26 times for 148 yards and three scores 
    – Ball State RB Jahwan Edwards ran 21 times for 92 yards and a touchdown 
    – Turnovers: Ball State 5 – Northern Illinois 2 
    – Time of possession: Northern Illinois 35:50 – Ball State 24:10

    Nov. 8 Toledo 30, at Kent State 20 
    And You Care Because … Toledo appeared to be cruising, up 23-0 on three Jeremiah Detmer field goals and two Logan Woodside touchdown passes, including one to Alonzo Russell from eight yards out early in the second half, but Kent State made it interesting with a 50-yard Nick Holley scoring run and 13 unanswered points on two short touchdown passes from Nathan Strock. But the Rocket defense came up with key stops when it had to and forced three turnovers. 
    What Else? Toledo RB Kareem Hunt ran 18 times for 141 yards 
    – Kent State RB Nick Holley ran 12 times for 95 yards and a score 
    – Toledo QB Logan Woodside completed 16-of-25 passes for 202 yards and three scores 
    – Time of possession: Toledo 37:15 – Kent State 22:45

    Nov. 4 Bowling Green 27, at Akron 10 
    And You Care Because … Bowling Green took control of the MAC East race as Taylor Royster recovered a fumble for a score and Tyler Tate hit two field goals on the way to a 13-3 lead, and then the offense got into the act with a ten-yard Roger Lewis touchdown catch to get up 17 going into the fourth. Akron tried to make a charge with a 15-yard Jawon Chisolm touchdown run, but the Falcons put it away late on a 45-yard scoring dash against the normally-solid Zip run defense. 
    What Else? Turnovers: Akron 5 – Bowling Green 1 
    – Bowling Green RB Fred Coppet ran 18 times for 113 yards, and Andre Givens ran 14 times for 101 yards and a score 
    – Akron QB Kyle Pohl completed 31-of-62 passes for 304 yards and three interceptions 
    – Rushing yards: Bowling Green 219 – Akron 94

    Nov. 5 at Ohio 37, Buffalo 14 
    And You Care Because … Ohio’s defense shut down Buffalo’s offense cold, and the Bobcat offense took advantage getting out to a 27-0 lead with Josiah Yazdani hitting two field goals and A.J. Ouellette running two short scores. Derrius Vick closed off the scoring run with a nine-yard touchdown run, and the Bobcats needed it, with a turnover leading to a 12-yard Ron Willoughby scoring catch to get UB on the board. Yazdani’s third field goal took the game back on the way to the blowout. UB’s defense got the team back on the board with a 75-yard fumble return for a score from Boise Ross. 
    What Else? Total yards: Ohio 389 – Buffalo 134 
    – Turnovers: Buffalo 4 – Ohio 2
    – Ohio RB A.J. Ouellette ran 19 times for 155 yards and two touchdowns
    – Buffalo ran 25 times for 28 yards
