1. It was UGLY with lots and lots of mistakes. Up 14-10 and needing to take control, Ohio rolled for 85 yards in 19 plays finishing up with a one-yard direct-snap A.J. Oullette run.
2. Ohio started out the scoring with a 33-yard Daz’mond Patterson run, and took the lead for good on a 38-yard J.D. Sprague pass to Sebastian Smith.
3. Marshall only got into the end zone on a 73-yard Devon Johnson run in the second quarter. The O managed just a 33-yard Nick Smith field goal the rest of the way.
– Michael Birdsong completed 16-of-33 passes for 106 yards and two interceptions
-Devon Johnson ran 21 times for 170 yards and a score
– Marshall appeared way off, probably because of the short week. The Herd were flagged 16 times for 150 yards and turned it over four times.
– J.D. Sprague completed 11-of-21 passes for 127 yards and a score. Derrius Vick completed 4-of-7 passes for 29 yards with a pick.
– A.J. Ouellette ran 21 times for 77 yards and a touchdown
