Missouri suffered a heartbreaking, 28-27, defeat against Georgia last week. Quarterback Drew Lock was both an asset and a liability in the loss, throwing for three touchdowns and three interceptions. He will need to become more consistent for the Tigers to make a mark in the SEC East this season.

Delaware State is, well, let’s just say it is not even the best football team in Delaware. The Hornets are 0-2 after losses to Delaware and Monmouth and have only one win in their last 12 games. Running back Brycen Alleyne will try to get things going on the ground against a tough Missouri defensive front.

    What To Know About Missouri

Lock has the potential to be a good quarterback, but must cut down on the mistakes that he has made so far in this young season. Finding wide receiver J’Mon Moore has been effective for Lock, as Moore has twice as many receptions (18 for 320 yards) as the closest Tiger receiver to him.

Defensive lineman Charles Harris finally came through with a big game against Georgia, record seven tackles with four for a loss and three sacks. Look for him to dominate the Hornets’ offensive line.

What to Know About Delaware State

Many Americans are uneducated when it comes to the state of Delaware, so here I am with some facts about “The First State.” You are welcome.

    – The capital is Dover, but did you know that the largest city is Wilmington? Now you do.

    – Only Rhode Island is smaller in land size than Delaware. Take that, Rhodies!

    – It is recognized as the first state due to being the first to ratify the Constitution on December 7, 1787. I bet that party was off the hook.

    – Here’s a quick list of people from Delaware: Vice President Joe Biden, a crap load of the du Pont family, Aubrey Plaza from Parks and Recreation, Judge Reinhold, that guy that taught Julia Stiles how to dance in Save The Last Dance, and George Thorogood.

    Missouri vs. Delaware State Prediction

This is a good game for head coach Barry Odom to let Lock air the ball out and gain even more confidence while also getting some reserves into the game to see how they play in live action. Just like 95% of the people in Delaware, Missouri will just be driving through on its way to a more important destination. Tigers win big.
