Xavier guard Myles Davis has been suspended indefinitely from the Xavier Basketball program, coach Chris Mack announced on Thursday night.

This news comes after Davis’ ex-girlfriend, Kiley Stoll, was approved by a judge for a protective order against him. The details behind the suspension have not been released, and Xavier will not comment on the matter again until “there is a change in Myles’ status.”

“Myles Davis is suspended indefinitely from all basketball related activities,” Mack said. “Playing basketball for Xavier is a privilege and we have high expectations for how our student-athletes represent our university. Unless Myles meets those expectations he will not be a part of our program.”

A charge was filed for misdemeanor criminal damage after Davis reportedly threw Stoll’s cellphone on the sidewalk and broke it, and then struck and dented the driver’s side door of Stoll’s 2011 Volkswagon Jetta. Charges were filed by the Cincinnati police in July.

Then, days after the incident, Davis reportedly threatened Stoll and attempted “to punch through [her] windows,” according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Davis is no longer allowed within 500 feet of Stoll, unless he is on campus, where he is not allowed within 10 feet of her. This order is effective for three years.

According to his prior attorney, Davis is “vehemently denying” these allegations.

Davis averaged 10.8 PPG and led the Musketeers with 4.1 APG in 2015-16.
